Chris Accordion Lessons

This is an arrangement of the old TV theme tune Inspector Maigret. As always, this is not an attempt to pretend to be an accordion player, just trying to add to the resources youtube offers.

It is really good practice for independent hands. I loved struggling with this, I can really recommend it for the good feeling when it goes well. It does make me ralise how little I know about bellows technique, but one thing at a time.

Matchmaker Song A simple arrangement for piano players who have taken up the accordion (easy accordion chords but with some chromatic movement for interest). Right hand has simple tune but also moving inner part.

This is useful for moving on from basic chords. It shows how to add a descending (chromatic) bass line under a fixed chord.

A simple tune, but with some variety - contrasting second section in major key. You can use the basic chords to allow you to experiment with the tune.
